APRIL 9, 2004 – Here’s a hint:
she lied. And she knows it.
Here’s another hint. They all lied – and
lie. They know it. They – and most Americans – don’t really consider
anything wrong with it.
Here’s yet a third hint: They failed.
They screwed up. Forget "the m-word." They flat-out fucked up big
time. No, not just by being asleep at the wheel on 9/11, but by
being the cause of 9/11 – creating Osama and Saddam and then turning
both of them against us with asinine foreign policy – to begin with.
They made the first Gulf War, 9/11, and the current Iraq mess,
single-handedly. None of it ever had to have – or should have -
happened. The Bush brand Republicans were the cause, and they were
the ones who let their crap come back to bite America on the ass on
their watch. Period.
So stop wasting valuable time and energy
asking again and again, essentially, "But did you lie? But did you
fail?"
There are much, much more important
questions that America needs answered right now lest we are hit with
more blowback from asinine Bush foreign policy – ie we suffer future
9/11’s as a result of current Bush idiocy.
Don’t ask Condi Rice, "Were you doing
everything you could to prevent 9/11?" Ask her, "Having learned that
arming and training butcher-like militants in the past comes back to
bite you in the ass, why are you doing exactly the same crap right
now in Colombia?"
That is a vital question that affects
the future security of America far more than why they sucked and
failed so badly in the past.
When President Bush is testifying next
week – or, more accurately, Dick Cheney is testifying with a
drooling, loopy-eyed Bush sitting beside him – ask them what the
hell they are doing orchestrating coups in Venezuela, again earning
us enemies, training butcher-like insurgent troops, and directly
involving us in killing people all for the sake of keeping oil
flowing from that oil-rich member of OPEC.
Don’t ask Cheney why his terrorism task
force never once met before 9/11. Ask him why we are sitting by
doing nothing as little by little the victory we won in the Cold War
slips away as Russia takes massive steps back toward being a
Soviet-like behemoth. (see
www.moderateindependent.com/v1i16russia.htm )
Don’t ask if they misled us with regard
to Iraq, taking advantage of the opportunity created by 9/11. Ask
him why he’s creating enemies for us in Peru for the sake of oil.
(see
www.moderateindependent.com/v1i9peru.htm )
The lesson of 9/11. (see
www.moderateindependent.com/v1i4lesson.htm ) Not a single
Democrat or Republican or any person of any creed in office has
stated it correctly. It is obvious. It is simple.
The lesson of 9/11 was:
-
that we can not stick our heads
in the sand. That not paying attention, not allowing
ourselves to be bothered with paying attention to what our
government is up to does not allow us to not become
involved.
-
that what we don’t pay attention
to now can, and will one day down the road, come back to get
us, possibly killing us, our spouses, children, our economy,
our freedom and way of life.
-
that we must all, right now, ask
ourselves and those in our government: Are you really paying
attention now to how our foreign policy is affecting things
around the world, and is that foreign policy leading us
toward future 9/11’s, creating future Osamas and Saddams?
So let the media stay asleep, light the
right continue to lie, and let the left have fun poking holes in
Rice’s testimony. However, we Moderate Independents realize that
while you are all busy doing all of this, there are real US policies
playing out among real people in real parts of the world that are
demonstrating that not only didn’t the current administration do
their job in preventing 9/11, but that they were responsible for
creating the situations that led to it, and that – most importantly
– they have not changed how they operate foreign policy one iota as
a result, and so are simply setting up future 9/11s for all of us to
suffer. |
